who rules church?
We have become so educated on our civil rights as citizens, we cannot easily be taken for a ride by retrogessive government administrations. We take out our placards and our teargas masks and take to the streets at the slightest provocation. I wonder if we know what our rights are as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven. I wonder if we are as educated in how to express our displeasure as members of the Body of Christ.
This may very well be a divisive discussion on church governance in the 20th century. I just don’t understand why. Is Theocracy outdated? Is God’s way of doing things no longer relevant on this side of Calvary? What is God’s way of doing things when there is an errant leader in the Church? What is God’s way of doing things when there is the perception of a disobedient leadership team in the Church?
I am what I like to refer to as a neo-conservative Christian. I try to see both the old and the new as complimentary rather than antagonistic. In some instances. I choose to believe that God could use democracy to install leaders but theocracy to keep them or remove them. So for instance, where church leadership is concerned, I prefer to draw my lessons from Korah, Dathan & Abiram (Numbers 16). I choose to see a matter of this nature (or even remotely similar) as none of my business. I pray and stand in the gap where I must but I stay away from the tents and the company of those I perceive to be challenging the call of God on the Men of God. Old fashioned? Maybe.
Are we qualified to challenge the 5 fold ministry? The Prophet, Apostle, Evangelist, Pastor and teacher? Can we go head to head with them when we believe they are in error? What’s your take?

When confronted by a situation such as discussed above recently, I just thought to myself…’man I’m growing old’. I’m the sort of ‘Sunday Christian’ only involved in matters relating to church on Sundays ….. and until …the following Sunday.
My take is …I wouldn’t challenge a man of God ….. can’t explain why. I would raise a matter of concern with others ‘at that level’for them to handle. And if indeed the servant is in error he/she should be restored with gentless, lest they ‘get lost’ in the process.
