I was the founder of Semacraft Consulting Partners, a Nairobi-based multi-disciplinary practice that helps leaders identify opportunities to create and deliver real value to citizens in Africa. I am driven by the need to create and deliver a better quality of life for those living in Africa. I see technology as a facilitator for this but I also increasingly see policy as a critical part of making better livelihoods and better quality of life a reality.
I am currently serving on a number of advisory boards including that of the inaugural DEMO Africa launchpad. In my ‘day job’ I serve as the Executive Director at Local Development Research Institute, a think tank that exists to support African Union member states by providing technical and technology support on data and statistics for sustainable development.
